EXPERTS ON CHEMICALS AND WASTE MANAGEMENT

This databank of experts on chemicals and waste management, in particular on persistent organic pollutants aims at facilitating access to information on available experts and expertise on several areas relevant to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions, in particular experts on monitoring, inventories, action plan development, final destruction, as well as experts on the broader issues related to the sound management of chemicals and waste. It will be publicly accessible and will allow users to identify an expert in their region or country by the areas of expertise on chemical issues.

The databank has been prepared by the UN Environment Chemicals and Health Branch in joint effort with the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions Secretariat. The first round information collection ended on February 17th, 2017 but the databank will continue open for registration and will be updated regularly. We have the pleasure to invite you to participate and to share it with relevant experts and stakeholders. In the future, the databank will include other experts involved in broader chemicals-related areas.
